(A) i. Enzymes obtained by microbial process are mixed with detergents because:
a. To remove dirt/muck, detergents and water with high temperature is required. However, cost of heating water is high.
b. The enzymes obtained by microbial processes are active at low temperatures. Hence, the process of dirt/muck removal can occur at low temperatures when enzymes are mixed with detergents and energy can be saved.
c. Certain enzymes can act specifically on different types of stains (starch, protein, oils, etc.) and hence enable more effective removal of such stains when mixed with detergents.

ii. a. Human life is an integral part of nature and human survival is closely linked with environment.
b. Due to rapid increase in human population and industrialization, humans have over utilized natural resources; leading to degradation of environment.
